Mr. Iyengar on Humor

One might think that with Mr. Iyengar's (Guruji) disciplined style of asana practice, based on perfecting alignment, he'd be rigid and stern. But Guruji is well known for his laughter and sense of humor. I thought I'd share some of his words on the matter.
"If there is no sense of humor, I think that life is not worth living. The whole world of human nature is that it wants a sense of humor, so we live in the sense of humor and it is the way one's life gets exhilarated with happiness. So therefore I say a sense of humor is a must - even in a philosopher."
I try to keep those words in mind when I fall on my asana in yoga class. - Get it ass-ana! Sorry, bad yoga humor. :-)
